Terms of Use
Last Updated: 8 December 2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to pastapapers.com, an online educational platform operated under the name Pastapapers ("Pastapapers", "we", "us", or "our").
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of pastapapers.com and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Quick Summary (Non-Legal TL;DR)
- We are not Cambridge: Pastapapers is an independent practice tool and is not affiliated with any exam board.
- AI has limits: Our AI-generated marks and feedback are helpful but not perfect.
- Don't use us to cheat: The Service is for learning and practice only.
- Payments & refunds: You have a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund period.
- Be respectful & legal: Don't hack, abuse, or misuse the Service.
The legally binding version is everything written below.
3. Relationship to Exam Boards
Pastapapers is an independent educational platform.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), Oxford, Edexcel, or any other examination board.
Any use of past papers, mark schemes, logos, or terminology relating to these boards is solely for educational and illustrative practice purposes. All trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
4. Eligibility and Accounts
4.1 Age Requirements
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old, and
- If you are under the age of majority in your country (usually 18), have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements. Parents and guardians are responsible for the actions of minors using the Service under their supervision.
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login details (email and password).
- All activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. How Our Service Works (AI & User Content)
5.1 AI-Generated Marks and Feedback
Our Service uses third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) to simulate the marking of exam answers and to provide feedback or tutoring.
- We aim for high quality, but AI can make mistakes or "hallucinate."
- Marks, comments, and recommendations generated by the Service are for practice and guidance only and may not match the judgment of a human examiner.
You should not rely solely on our marks or explanations for critical academic decisions; always cross-check with teachers, textbooks, and official exam materials.
5.1.1 AI Provider (OpenAI) & Safety Guardrails
Our in-platform tutoring and marking systems use the OpenAI GPT-4.1 mini API.
All requests sent to the AI are strictly limited to the context of the specific question the user is practicing and the user's own submitted answer. The AI is not permitted or designed to operate as a general advisory service.
OpenAI provides industry-standard moderation, safety filters, and content restrictions, which apply to every response.
On top of these, Pastapapers implements additional guardrails, including:
- restricting conversations to the learning task at hand,
- blocking attempts to use the AI for prohibited content (e.g., harmful, illegal, adult, or disallowed material), and
- preventing use of the AI for real-time exam cheating or generating answers for active supervised assessments.
This ensures the AI remains a narrow, educational support tool within the permitted boundaries of our Service.
5.2 Ownership of Your Content
You retain ownership of the written answers and other content you submit ("User Content").
By submitting User Content, you grant Pastapapers a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Process your content via AI models,
- Display it back to you within the Service, and
- Use anonymized and aggregated versions to improve the Service.
We will not publicly display your personal User Content in a way that identifies you without your consent.
6. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds
6.1 Subscription Plans and Renewal
- Access to certain features of the Service may require a paid subscription ("Paid Plan").
- Paid Plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example, monthly), as shown at checkout.
- Unless you cancel, your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price.
You can manage or cancel your subscription via your account settings before the renewal date.
6.2 Refund Policy – 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a full money-back guarantee for all purchases made on pastapapers.com.
If you are not satisfied for any reason, you are eligible for a full refund within 14 calendar days of your purchase. No explanation is required ("no questions asked").
How to request a refund:
- Email us at pastapapers@gmail.com with your name, email, and transaction details.
Refunds will be processed and returned to the original payment method where possible. After the 14-day period has passed, you will no longer be eligible for a refund for that billing period.
7. Academic Integrity and Acceptable Use
We designed Pastapapers to help you learn, not to help you cheat.
You agree that you will not:
Cheat or Facilitate Cheating
Use the Service to generate answers for active, supervised, or graded exams, tests, or assignments where external help is not allowed.
Misuse or Attack the Service

Share or Sell Accounts
Sell, rent, or share your account credentials with others.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, without refund, if we reasonably believe you have violated these rules.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (excluding User Content and exam-board content) are owned by Pastapapers, including:
- Website design and layout
- Code, prompts, and internal tools
- Logos, branding, and other proprietary content
You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
8.2 Third-Party Content
Past paper questions, mark schemes, and exam-style materials displayed on the Service are the intellectual property of their respective owners (for example, Cambridge). We use such content for educational and practice purposes only and do not claim ownership.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Pastapapers and its owners, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, loss of potential grades, or similar harms.
- We are not responsible for errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated answers or feedback.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.
- Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms shall be limited to the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Changes to the Service and to These Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you (for example, via email or an in-app notice). Your continued use of the Service after such changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
If a dispute arises:
- We will first try to resolve it amicably through direct communication.
- If we cannot resolve it informally, the dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
If you access the Service from outside Pakistan, you are responsible for complying with your local laws.
